NYSC Advises Prospective Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued an important notice to prospective corps members regarding the resolution of any discrepancies in their date of graduation during the online registration process. The announcement was made via the NYSC’s official Twitter account, stressing that any corrections must be made before reporting to orientation camps and receiving state code numbers.

Prospective corps members who notice inconsistencies in the dates uploaded by their schools are urged to contact their Student Affairs Officers (SAOs) as soon as possible. The NYSC warned that they should not proceed to the camps without the necessary corrections being made.

The notice stated, “All 2023 Batch A Stream 2 Prospective Corps members are to note that correction of any wrong date of graduation can only be treated by the NYSC during the online registration up until the release of call-up letters. The NYSC will not correct the date of graduation once PCMs report to orientation camps. Once a state code number is issued, the date of graduation can no longer be corrected.”

As previously reported by MySchoolGist, online registration for the 2023 Batch A Stream 2 will run from Tuesday, April 11, to Monday, April 17, 2023. Prospective corps members are encouraged to ensure their information is accurate and up to date before the registration deadline to avoid any issues during the orientation camp.
